I've tried a lot of biscuit recipes and this one is the best. Didn't have enough shortening so used butter. Also baked them at 450º for 14 minutes. They were great. Hint: if you place the biscuits with sides touching, they will rise higher.

Made a half recipe and used some whole wheat flour and they came out great! Very tender and and rose up nicely! Hubby approved! Just found my go to recipe!

These turned out perfect! definite go to recipe. I cooked mine at 375 for 12 minutes but they weren't done yet so cooked another 10. I think 450 would have been right.

Wow those were so good. Nice crumb, just dense enough but still light. And man can these things soak up some sauce! Nom nom nom!!!
