A co-worker made this for us and it was delish! She said she used a family recipe and had strong notes of cinnamon and nutmeg - this recipe looks to be the basic, traditional recipe. I'm looking forward to trying it and adding my own tweeks. Thank you to whomever shared this recipe. Cheers!

I tried this at a family holiday party years ago. I have been looking for the name of this drink since. I'm so happy I have it now! Thanks for posting it! This drink beats egg nog any day! 5 stars because I know it's delish!! :ohyeaah

I have made this with chocolate nd strawberry flavors, tasted it with pistachio..for the rum I usually use bacardi or ron caña (sugar cane rum..also a Puertorican rum) nd I don't use egg like some people do.. :ohyeaah

Raw egg is not unsafe, that's a misconception, it's the shell of the egg you need to worry about. This sounds nice, will have to try it! My grandpa on my mum's side was from Puerto Rico :-) So it will be nice to try this out and then make it for my mum when I go on holiday in October.
