Is important to get the sauce right, in order for it to be called a Fisherman's Pie. Otherwise the dish may be considered cheesy mash and fish.

The calories amount to 8.300 calories,so 4 portions is best, the 900g,or 950g White Fish fillets will need to be equally divided into 4 portions to go with 4 portions of the main Fisherman's Pie element.A quarter of the leftover half of the cheesy Bechemel Sauce, can be thinned out in a saucepan on the hob, will probably need more milk,so calories will go up some what - unless cold water would suffice.

It will probably take longer in the oven if you have added a lot of potato water, but their is quite a bit of Plain Flour in the roux and it will take longer to thicken the cheesy Bechemel Sauce through evaporation,so instead of 40 minutes it may take 1 hour and 30 minutes, this is not a problem because there is no fish within the Fisherman's Pie at this point,so the fish doesn't become overcooked. The potatoes on top need a crisp top, just as a crisp pastry pie.
