Hi. Can I clarify on your recipe? When you said 2 cups of plain flour, what is the measurement of your 1cup? Secondly, for the coconut milk, I am confused with the 2 cups? How much water do I need to add?

Hi so sorry for my late reply. For the plain flour, it weights 250 gr. Understand that different cups can have a very different measurement so it is safer to weight the flour. For the coconut milk, I used 260 thick coconut milk and add water until it reach about 470-475 ml :) hope it is clear and the waffle will turn out well 😄

I tried on Saturday but used 250grams of flour with 260ml of coconut water (wasn’t very clear with the measurement) and it tasted very good! I am going to add water to see what would be the difference. Thank you so much!

Oo i see. I got this from google, hopefully will help: Waffle mixture will have the consistency of pancake batter or honey—not so thick and clumpy that it's clinging to your whisk or so runny that it's essentially water. You can premake the batter and store it in the fridge covered in plastic wrap or with a moistened paper towel covering the top of the batter container. Thanks Sarah!

If the batter is sticky, probably you overmix at the last step? When we overmix flour, gluten will develop. About it wasn’t cook as thick, sometimes different flour in different country (with different humidity level) etc, can affect the batter. If you feel the batter is too runny, can add more flour bit by bit. If too thick, add liquid.. I hope this helps. I am so sorry that your waffle doesn’t turn out as expected.. I am also not an expert, the above suggestion is purely based on my personal finding/experience… :)

Still can add water? The batter is finished.

I half the recipe and reduced sugar & it turned out yummy! So soft and fluffy. My family love it! Although it did not have the prima aroma as I expected but I am happy with the results. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe @purple_acied! I will be making more often. :)
