Easy vanilla ice cream
Gordon Ramsay @cook_2821255
Very easy. The kids and I made this tonight. We used fresh goat milk, and each had their own flavor. Chocolate, caramel, orange. Will make again.

It came out way too sweet. Maybe use less sugar. I think I may use cream and chocolate or strawberry flavored syrup next time , instead of milk and sugar. I think that would make it have better texture and flavor. Also, the gallon bag ripped the first time I did it! Maybe shook it too hard. 2nd time used a couple of gallon bags with the quart one inside. That worked better. Recipe just needs some adjustments. [ok]

AMAZING I SHOULD HAVE SHOOK LONGER SO IT DIDNT MELT SO FAST BUT IT WAS SUPER YUMMY I USED BROWN SUGAR INSTEAD OF REGULAR table sugar and it turned out great will be making again soon :excited

Was pretty good needs a little more sweetness and some vanilla bean would be great or even a little more vanilla. It was also pretty icy too

Love to make the kids work for the ice cream lol but it is fun when we do it as a family see who gets done first

this was really good and easy. My only suggestion would be to wear a pair of gloves when shaking the bag..I shook for 12 minuts and it was perfect. I will make with the grandkids next time. We'll add in hershy chocolate and strawberry sauce. this has endless possibilities. thanks for sharing

wow! it worked great.it was just like homemade ice cream used to taste like.you can save ice in the bag for another time.you can also use another sweetner if cannot use real sugar. thanks for this great recipe I will be trying more

'I haven t tried making ice cream like this yet - but I have heard of being made in a similar way and have always wondered how they did it. So thanks I look forward to trying the recipe, now I will just have to get or make some ice :-) It also sounds like it would be a very versatile recipe ie. easy to make variations. Can't wait to try it.

this is also fun to use a large coffee can instead of the big ziplock and sit and roll back and forth with socked feet while watching tv!! %%-

I haven't tasted it yet but I am at the part where I just finished shaking it. Looks good so far

jojobeary @cook_3447854

kristiephillips @cook_3516707
Worked great for me, but next time i will rinse off the outside of the ice cream bag before pouring the ice cream in a bowl. There was a hint of salt taste in it.

Emily List @cook_3555294
Omg soooooooio good n easy you could prob make any day of the week bc it's just normal everyday cooking ingredients -- just go buy a box of rock salt like 99cents and keep at home :) so happy

Made this last night and tried doing it with snow as suggested by a previous reviewer... After attempting it with snow I wonder if that was a joke... It didn't freeze properly at all so I ended up having ice cream soup but the taste was good. Will make again using the ice instead.

Hmmmmm perfect wz chopped strawberries and nutella as a sauce!!miam miam (L)

I've done this a few times. Very good. To make it easier, I just mixed the milk, sugar, & vanilla extract, poured into freezable containers, & let them freeze for a few hours. Worth the wait.

The ice cream is the reward for the 10 min workout it takes to make it.... yum! It fun for the kids to make, put on a good CD and shake away!

skinsfann21 @cook_3846538
ice cream was good however we tasted salt. I believe are bags busted. very good recipe fun for kids

Tamara Robins @cook_3928171
Didn't work. But I found a new recipe online which requires me to just place mixture in freezer and stir every 30mins for 2-3 hours.

apostolicmom @cook_3079939
my daughter got to do this in school on a field trip. she was sooo excited! :-)
I think this should be a "must try" for all families! The kitchen just got cooler! . this recipe is fun, and the kids get to be in charge and play "chef". and parents can feel confident their kids are exploring in the kitchen without having to worry about them getting cut or burned. WIN!
