I changed this one a bit instead of ground beef used ground pork. great! very tasty very light and lots of food ! possible to enjoy warm and cold as well use idea for appetizers for many people. added in only refried beans and fresh home made salsa with cilantro and chopped green onions . eat with fresh made salsa with sprinkled lime juice and guacamole with cilantro - awesome combination! and you can simply call it as taco pie .

I have made a similar taco recipe but I added crumbled tortilla chips on top of the taco pie with some cheese the last few minutes of baking. It gave it a crunch that was awesome and the cheese help the chips to stay on the taco pie. It was delicious! I also added black olives. They are my favorite!

Made for dinner tonight, boyfriend approved. :) Didn't have refried beans, and didn't use chopped tomato or green onion or corn (picky eater) and still loved it. Will be making again!

Easy classic. You can adjust this recipe to incorporate whatever you want. I always add rotel tomatoes and chilis as well as spanish rice to the beef(or chicken) mixture. Everyone loves it!
