yummy! ! there was a women who lived next to me that called it THE OLD DUTCH POT. She put potatoes and smoked sausage on top of th cabbage while cooking.

Made this tonight. I added potatoes, ,garlic and sweet sausage. it was really good but the bacon comes out more like Canadian bacon so you may want to fry that up seperatly to your taste and add it near the end of the cook time.

Always good. I live in the south so fried cabbage is normal. I usually cook it minus onions, add red pepper flakes, and switch the bacon for smoked sausage. Either way is phenomenal!

I make this and slice up Kielbasa, mix it together and put in a dble piecrust and have what I call Cabbage Pie.'

It's good that way, buy I also add polish sausage and potatoes when I'm cooking the onion and bacon. I also add a little bit of beef stock and some fresh garlic or you can add garlic powder. :chef

It's also very good w/chicken, or sausage nstead of bacon. And this recipe is easily turned n2 a cabbage jambalya, transforming any left overs n2 a new meal. :chef
