This turned out JUST like they should taste!! I did only use 1/4 cup real onion since I live with a onion hater and was trying to hide them ;)
With the gravy, i had a packet of brown gravy i added instead of flour since had it already. The kids and hubby all LOVED! I served it with homemade mashed potatoes made from red potatoes since like the flavor better that comes from them.

This was delicious! I sautéed some sliced onion and about a pound of white button and cremini mushrooms and used a package of brown gravy mix to simmer the patties in. Yum!

I too was looking for something different to make with hamburger. The recipe was written well and easy to follow. And that is really important for this cook. My family loved it! I will, most certainly add it to my meal planning. I didn't take pictures this time, but I will next time. :chef

I tried this but failed massively. I think the tomato sauce I used was too wet for it to stick together so it fell apart and ended up looking like a dog's dinner. it was tasty though, will have to try it again.

very tasty! had to add panko breadcrumbs to firm up the mixture however because the tomato sauce makes it a a little too thin. also sautéed some mushrooms and added it to the gravy.

it's Ms. Kipper……… I'm using my mom's phone... anyway u can use 1/2 cup of tomato sauce and add more if it looks like it needs it. if u thought it was to salty do not add more salt because there is salt in the soup mix.. I know there has been some debate about adding bread crumbs but I do not suggest doing that. it changes the texture of the patties... I'm gonna make some tomorrow I will take a pic. :-)

unfortunately, my father allowed his PCA to buy some of the worst hamburger patties ever-not choice, not prime! required a steak knife to cut thru it so I always wound up giving it to his dog. maybe this would tenderize it enough-I'm hoping. otherwise, I'll keep feeding it to the dog!

Have made this several times for my family...always a hit! Easy and delicious..never have to look for another salisbury steak recipe after you've tried this.
