this turned out well, however, next time I would prefer to use homemade tortillas

I used flour tortillas because I don't like corn tortillas. I would suggest using 1 taco seasoning packet for each pound of ground meat. Additionally, some guacamole and sour cream should be used to garnish. A good hearty meal that was just as good for leftovers the next day.

Black olives are not for mexican flavor. Try thin onion slices instead and a little sour cream bit when the dish is done. You will get and authentic great flavor of my country. :ohyeaah

Delicious!!! Only change I made was to add a 3rd layer as I thought 2 made it a bit 'thin'.

Yummy & easy when using left over chicken breast. I also used green enchilada sauce, 1/2 envelope taco seasoning and a few drops of hot picante. Great served w/ a crisp green salad.

i only use one lg can of sauce and divide it up in each layer...I fry my corn tortillas til they have a little crisp(still flimsy) and I also add a can of rosarita refried beans to my cooked ground beef(don't drain). cook bout 2-3 minutes. the start the layering of ingredients.

Easy and Delish! I had to ask my 13 year old if he was starving all day, the way he wolfed down 2 large helpings. Used 12 reg corn shells, 1 lg can enchilada sauce, and 1 lb hamburger, 1 lb ground chicken. Will use 2 packs taco seasoning next time. Garnished w/sour cream. Plenty for 5+ hungry eaters.
