Dorito crusted chicken fingers

Angelslave IsOwned @cook_2719590
I opted to pass on Doritos (don't like msg or GMO products). Instead I used a dry rub on the chicken - salt, red pepper flakes, smokey chipotle, fresh choped cilantro, cumin, smashed garlic cloves - smeared it all over chicken - Yummy!

CherryBomb8 @cook_2772609
I made this for dinner last night and as it was a little dry, it was my fault for forgetting that the chicken has to sit in the sour milk for 3 hours so it only got 30 min. The doritos lost some of the taste yes but we could still taste them well. I think this is a wonderful chicken breast recipe. :grace

IloveGOD @cook_2833107
When a person put there recipe out there it would be nice not to see rude reviews if you don't like it JUST don't make it again ,so simple .....

Jenny2000 @cook_2846283
it was tasteless so I added hotsauce and salt to get the taste ..... great .... yum

JuH5tn3 @cook_2855375
It was so good i let my chicken sit in the milk mix overnight and after baking, the chicken was nice amd juicy

MandaBug @cook_2895353
Made these last night. I added shredded cheese that has taco season in it. Good crunch but not a ton of flavor. Pretty food recipe.

MelBell8986 @cook_2903302
my family loves this! 2 nd time making it. for those of you that say it's dry....that why you soak the chicken for the 3 hrs. both times mine turned out great!

OhSuzyQ @cook_2934024
I made this with all the leftover (bottoms of bags) of assorted potato chips, crackers etc. My kids favorite! ~(o.o)~

MissPauve @cook_2909951
If your an avid dorito fan I'd sincerely advise you to stay far away from this recipe. The texture is, at best, soggy old tortilla chips and doesn't taste even close to a dorito. Nothing I did could save them. (I tried baking longer and frying and it was terrible both ways) Just do yourself a favor and enjoy your doritos the way they are.

Rick1172 @cook_2955087
I just made this and it was delicious, I did not leave them in the milk/ vinegar mixture for long, about 25-30 minutes, and I used apple cider vinegar. The chicken was extremely juicy and moist, and I also mixed a Parmesan, Texas Pete hot sauce, and mayonnaise sauce that someone here had talked about and it was delicious (for the sauce just mix those three ingredients, varying on how much spiciness you want, I used a lot of the hot sauce). But the breading was perfect. Great recipe, will definitely make it again.

ScarletQueen @cook_2968408
Followed the recipe to the exact. It was horrible, no flavor at all. I had to drench them in Ranch dressing. The flavor of the doritoes was gone, tasted like bland plain corn chips. Don't waste your doritoes on this. The only reason I gave this as many stars as I did is because the chicken was nice and moist from being soaked.

XenoSlade @cook_3015918
I made this for my room mates and it was good. question though that one of them had was was there a way to bring out the dorrito flavor more? If so please message me.

XLeprechaunX07 @cook_3015673
i made these tonight. they were a big hit. lot of left over materials. not enough flavor so i added about 1/3 a pack of taco sesoning to the chips when i blended them and it brought out the flavor a lot. i would also suggest to place in the flour then eggs, back into the flour, eggs again thten finally the chips. made the batter on it thicker :-)

adrian.dykeman.3 @cook_3031222
im not sure if I did something wrong but it was very dry and lacked flavor

Angela @ahub1972
This recipe did not compare to the cheddar chicken recipe. I gave it the three stars because my son liked it. However, I just felt that the chips didn't hold their crispness. And even though I seasoned all layers, it still seemed flat. I did not use the milk and vinegar, instead I did the flour, egg wash, and chips. I even used the baking sheet with a rack so the bottom didn't get soggy. I will make again only if my son requests it but will stick with the other one.

anniem2 @cook_3076085
A good change from the usual chicken tenders...my picky eater actually ate every bite which works for me!!!

aquababy @cook_3081300
wow what happened to the yummy dorito flavor? even adding salt didnt save these. listen to all the reviews that say how bland these become because they are absolutely right. all flavor is lost during baking. the tops were crunchy and the bottoms were really soggy. the chips end up tasting like bland stale tortilla chips. sorry but wont waste doritos again with this. id make spicy chicken nachos by spicing up chicken with taco type seasonings and throw on cheese, green onion, tomatoes, salsa, cilantro, sour cream and whatever else you like on nachos like olives, jalapenos, and avocados. much better idea for doritos and chicken!!! trust me!

bren_825 @cook_3140480
My kids are huge dorito fans. Can't wait to give this a try. It looks so yummy!

bubblez231987 @cook_3150468
Very delicious. My roommate came home from work ans had soms and she loved it. Thank you.for sharing.

bshipley130294 @cook_3149448
I think I'm gonna try this with chilli heatwave doritos see if it can have a kick or add some chilli, for the cheese one you could add extra cheese into the crumbs :)

adreana.lefevers @cook_3031074
loved it, husband loved it! i onlg let it soak in the milk vinegar mixture for about an hour though and it still was perfect and tender!

cheryl.alvey @cook_3187014
My picky eater also loved them! I, however, was hoping for a little better taste. I might try using a different flavor Dorito next time. I also made this recipe gluten free by using a gluten free oat flour instead! B-)

courtneyann1822 @cook_3216161
It tasted like gross soggy
corn tortillas on chicken. I will not be making this again it didn't even tatse like cheese, doritos, nachos or anything.

damian.anderson.5891 @cook_3230717

houseywife @cook_3374245

Jennifer Garner @cook_3422955
Made this as I said with cool ranch Doritos and sadly there was just no flavor to this dish :(

jmelby @cook_3439279

justjenee @cook_3466069

kimmycac40 @cook_3503168
Im gonna try this recipe...But Im going to use the spicy nacho cheese doritos. :-)

kittenscarcella @cook_3506349
A new family favorite! we used nacho cheese for half the chicken and cool ranch gore the other. The kids asked for seconds!

kobie.mcguirk @cook_3511617
not impressed. chicken has good flavor, and held the moisture, but the crust is not so good

Leah McNaughton @cook_3537559
i know Doritos and chicken fingers but this is crazy. so crazy it might just work.

latosha.m.wilson @cook_3532083
I just prepared this recipe for the family and everyone loved it. Here are the few minor changes I made to the original recipe. ..So I added onion powder, garlic powder and lemon pepper seasonings to my flour. Then I added buttermilk to my eggs. I sprayed my pan with cooking spray and also sprayed the top of the chicken just a little. I cooked my chicken for 20 minutes, turning it over at the 12 minute point. This was delicious! Definitely a keeper.

lynnhale @cook_3575580
I made catfish tocos using this Doritos crust two weeka ago . Still felt like I wasted the chips. But it rocked!!

Melissa Zepeda @cook_3619903
I say delete this recipe. everyone is commenting bad reviews. its just terrible. :O

Shayna Meshia Williams @cook_3621905
It was ok. Just had an odd taste, daughter loved it but hubby didn't. Oh well! Maybe I'll use more seasoning next time.

ndickey0625 @cook_3681260
omg omg this is gonna be absolutely AWESOME... imma use ranch... or even some other random flavor...!.. geez why can't I be this creative.. I am soon making this tonight****** OK ranch didn't go too well... I ended up picking the crust off the chicken

njmattack @cook_3696238
such a mess to make but worth it just out the oven and tried them yum yum

pammom @cook_3714884
Very bland even after adding extra spices & not much crunch. Definitely won't be making them again.

peachiego49 @cook_3723336
I also used the cool ranch doritos. it was not a big hit. not much flavor and it was actually very sweet. probably will not make this again

Cherisa Crewe @cook_3739740
Made these last night kids wolfed them down definitely yummers along with mayo and Texas Pete buffalo sauce with Parmesan dipping sauce will definitely keep in heavy rotation gr8 recipe

prsharpie @cook_3742404

sparklegirl345 @cook_3858989
If you love Dortios then this ones for you .My kids made this dipped them in ranch dressing and gave it two thumbs up! :chef

spnknmymunky @cook_3860498

tcsmit63 @cook_3897567
was so excited to try this, but what a disappointment. They didn't have much flavor. it wasn't dry just bland.

tessat @cook_3902496

Jennifer Teachout @cook_3200408
Tried this recipe, the doritos lost flavor and it tasted plain sort of, but other than that it was pretty good.

vidy @cook_3949097
