Potato Dish

I didnt use hamburger. I use more sausage and put a little rosemary on the potatos. Also added cajun seasoning and rotel tomatos. Happy New Year with a side of black eyed peas ,cabbage and cornbread. Yummy! :-)

Just made this dish. I loved it and so did my sister, my niece and my daughter. I am taking some to work tomorrow for lunch. I replaced the ground meat with chicken drums cut into 3 (I'm saving the ground meat for a lasagna), and replaced the bell pepper with carrots. also added ground rosemary and chinese 5 spices spice for a nutty flavor.

It was very tasty :))
Instead of sausages, i used vegetarian meat balls (tastes like real meat).
This dish is good for people making gym/workout, there are carbohydrates (potatoes), proteins (meat) and fat (butter). 10 big potatoes give a big quantity, its then easy to make several meals per day (required when working out).
Also, with each day, the taste gets better :).

I made it! it was very delicious although i didn't add enough water to cover potatoes because I didn't want too much liquid and it still turned out being too liquid-y for my taste but the flavor was definitely there!! :ohyeaah

I only used a pound of beef and a pound of sausage because I didn't read the recipe thoroughly but I put in a bowl and topped with a piece of cheese and my family really liked it B-)

This is really good! Kidos don't always do peppers and onions so we tried fresh snap beans (a lil extra seasoning) they say it was the bomb B-)

This is a keeper. I did not add ground beef though and half the potatoes. Yummy ~(o.o)~

It was a little bland for me. My advice to anyone making it is add some major spices.

Delicious! Left out hamburger meat and used yellow bell pepper instead of green. Kids topped with shredded cheese.Hubby went back for thirds!

My whole family liked this dish. I made 2 adjustments; I used Andouille sausage & chicken broth instead of the water.

I didn't add hamburger but this was delicious. I added some Spanish seasonings called Saxon and adobo.

Quite tasty. Also went the stovetop route, didn't want to wait. Added some tomato. Bring to boil, cover and simmer 30min. Rice might be good addition.

I used stock instead of water, then I thickened the liquid with corn starch. I also cooked it on the stove, easier to regulate. much better my way :taunt

I have made this a few times. Good as is or also easily varied. Just made it with leftover ham and sage sausage.

Amazing and cheap. Family loved it for dinner and fried with eggs in burritos for breakfast.

I used chicken broth instead of water to cover the potatoes and they were phenomenal, everyone loved it!!!! Great recipe :-)

richie89 @cook_3770117
Very good. Kids loved it! Used Turkey sausages stuffed with pepper jack cheese. Did not cut them up left them whole. Used several different colored bell peppers. Added some Cajun seasoning. Will make again.

What good does it do to season the potatoes real good, when you pour water in it washes off.
