@Welderwoman, also, the advantage is that you can add 'refresher' packages of lit'l smokies to the base sauce throughout the afternoon and the night on low setting as they are consumed by coming and going guests, can be staged as daytime and night time parties.

@devilsnewborka50, Yeah cause they don't last long. I like to heat them up in the cast iron skillet for a couple of minutes before adding to the crockpot. Also love to add sautéed onion and Stubbs spicy BBQ sauce 😋
