I am from and live in the heart of PA Dutch country and this is an amazing recipe. It is typically served over dandelion or endive. It goes great with salty ham slices and browned potatoes. Delicious!!!!

I'm from south eastern Ohio and my mother made this. She poured it over the lettuce while it was still warm. Called it wilted lettuce. Good stuff.
