One thing I figured out that didn't go up with inflation is the rotisserie chickens at Sam's club They are still $4.98 per chicken I buy as many as I can go home pick all the meat off and store in ziploc bags in the freezer it's already cooked and seasoned so it saves time money and energy. The meat from one chicken fits into a one gallon storage bag and will feed a whole family!

@Welderwoman unfortunately we don't have Sam's club here. Our supermarket makes great roast chicken but it's about three times the cost of yours. ☹️

Thank you for mentioning food cost! I include the cost of each recipe in my posts, farm grown is not always less expensive than store bought!
