Very surprised by how good it really was. I doubled everything but the egg. I used 2 boxes jiffy corn muffin mix; 1 lg egg; 1/2 C vegetable oil; 1 1/3 C water; 1 can Cherry pie filling. Original recipe called for 1 can pie filling but only used half of it so this one will use entire can. This made a 9 X 9 pan nicely. Also now there was enough for 9 servings. Which worked better for my family which is way bigger than 4.Also, tasted almost like the cherry squares my mom made. Could barely taste that it was corn muffinrma lô

@Novicechef I am going to try it tomorrow but with strawberry or blueberry pie filling and I have honey cornbread mix as well. I will post how it turns out.
