Thanks Angie. It did taste really good, somewhat creamy which I think comes from incorporation of a few lentils. Of course, the “cooking water” is pretty close to ham stock. I do get great fun from “using-up” things that we used to discard. John

@JohnA I agree, I made a stew today actually made with leftover chicken thigh bone stock. Was up at 6 making the stock! My husband thinks I'm crazy!
