So, I'm assuming that this needs to be made with the raw peanuts shown in the picture. Will the roasted and salted ones come out different? This recipe is not really made in the Pacific nw. But I am very intrigued being a fan of southern / Cajun food. And yes I have slap yo mama a wonderful friend who is a truck driver from Louisiana brings me some from time to time.

For boiled peanuts you have to start with raw peanuts you can't start with pre cooked roasted or whatever they HAVE to be raw

The secret to these is the concentrated liquid crab boil...it makes all the flavor and man I can't tell you how wonderful your house will smell !! 💗💗

I know what the directions say on the bottle but trust me you want to use the whole thing because you are boiling them for a long time
