The butter, flour, cheese, etc. are the ingredients for the sauce.

When they changed the format for recipes, it makes it look like "sauce" is an ingredient, rather than a category for the remaining ingredients, as intended.

I just serve with a vegetable like green beans, salad, corn and maybe some good bread or rolls. It is kind of an all together dish with potatoes, meat and cheese. So doesn’t need much else to go with it.

I think it would turn out soupy with regular potatoes. The liquid wouldn’t evaporate in the crockpot. I would probably use frozen diced potatoes and less sauce.
