The salt isn't added into the icecream. It's used in the bag around the icecream bag( which is the equivalent of a machine function of freezing...the salt causes colder temprature than just ice

Took over 4 hrs before it was thick enough to eat. Good flavor and taste but the recipe gives the idea that it's ready in minutes.
