I am not the writer of this recipe. However, I know this is late response, but you wouldn't want to substitute the Mayo with Miracle Whip. Mayonnaise is used as a butter substitute in many recipes. You would not want to make it with butter, Crisco, or an oil like Canola. Adding a "fat" base to this recipe will assist in its browning and crusting. I promise you will not taste the mayonnaise.
