Sweet, spicy, and sticky spam

This came out fine for me maybe you just had to much heat or something and burned it

i do a lot of home trial by fire cooking and thought this seemed like a decent recipe. although i think i ommited the ginger doubled the honey and added red pepper flakes for heat

Either I did something horribly wrong, or this recipe is terrible...way to much salt. Soy over powered the dish. Directions call for cubes but picture shows slices? But yeah, this is nothing short of awful.

Instead of soy sauce I used coconut aminos and it came out delicious. Love this recipe

Because some people have dead pallets from over-seasoning for to many years. As a professional chef of 40 years, i can tell youspam is already salty as heck on its own. Then she wanted to ADD MORE SALT, plus SOY SAUCE? Can she even taste salt if you put a few grains on her tongue? Doubtful
Lia Kelly @Syrupsass
Spam on its own is very salty. Adding another salty element (the soy sauce) is going to make it easier, and on top of that there's a salt/pepper mix being added. The recipe recommends the less sodium Spam, which may lessen the overall saltiness factor, but if you used Spam classic, you're going to get salt on salt on salt.

Even low sodium resulted in an extremely salty dish. This thing is insane to me. I'm sure my wife would eat it, but I can't

I know I just did it with a different meat because I knew it would go good with something other than chicken. Just an idea I did and tried. Definitely too much sodium and now after how long it's been I don't eat much salt. It can seriously swell you.

I use turkey spam, omit the salt, blk pepp, and hot sauce( not nearly as salty). I used red chili flakes for spice and add Sriracha on individual servings for more heat

Very tasty. Followed the recipe as written and it was delicious. 😋
