You need to add more water. The rice didn't cook all the way, but it was delicious in flavor anyway!

Add long as it is covered well, has never been a problem. But there maybe other types of rice that could be different. I've used brown parboiled, jasmine and medium grain in the past without a problem

Maybe I should've boiled the rice first? But that kind of takes away from the simplicity of throwing it all in one dish to cook. I used a casserole dish with glass lid.

I use a casserole with glass lid also, like I said, always came out right I would guess some longer cooking rice types may not work properly, maybe a lower heat and longer cooking time might be needed

I found parboiled rice and it turned out perfect! It's now a family fav!

Added corn and also shredded cheese in it, my family loved it!

Glad you liked it, the shredded cheese inside sounds good. I'll have to try that next time.

This is my go-to favorite comfort food recipe. I add 2 Cups brown rice instead of one, I add two handfuls of frozen green beans and 1/2 can of canned mushrooms. Yum!

Made this tasted good but the rice wasn’t done even though I cooked for full hour probably won’t make again
