Hi maggie. We tried making the cake but it turned out funny. It was really dense with not a speck of air pockets..and it smelled and tasted a bit of eggs.. I'm a novice at cake baking. I really want to make this recipe. So cud u help me out a bit and tell me what might have gone wrong 😔

I think you overmixed the batter. Then for egg smell did you use the vanilla essence as it removes the egg smell?

my cake powdered while trying to eat after being backed and it got spoilt in a day I only got the taste of flour although I put enough vanilla essence
