sorry it took so long cook the meat then sauce. then add sauce to the meat.

yes its thick but smooth, if you reduce it down and add to the cooking like a glaze it would reduce to a sticky yumminess you are looking for. I would add to the meat after its browned then add.

my son loves dennys bourbon burgers....now he has my version here at home....he loves it...mine has nice "kick" to it....
