Did you get the restaurant to give you the recipe? This is really similar to my clam chowder, but I kinda like shrimp better than clams.

Yes, I did. I asked the waiter what was in it and from memory I re-made it. Most of my dishes are from delicious restaurant dishes that I want to re-create for family. I didn't include nutmeg though.

Also, the restaurant used a seafood mix not shrimp. I made shrimp because that's all I could find at the store

Cool, I've been on the other side of that conversation before, explaining a recipe to a customer who liked it. Always wondered if they've made them, hehe.

Oh, hehe, well yes, occasionally, but I used to work in restaurants, so I got recipe questions often.
