Hiroko, do you garden at all? Just asking because I grow the purple perilla, and it is so hardy and easy to grow. (I know the Japanese green type is much more delicate. I haven't tried growing that yet.)

Hi Shinae. I knew you got perilla growing crazy, and that inspired me to grow Shiso myself. But every year, I failed to collect seeds. Sometimes the extreme dry heat around 45C killed the plants. I will try growing them in pots this summer, so I can take them inside the house to protect them from the heat.
