Hey Bizo, you can use any as long but It has to be a wholewheat/wholemeal flour

I also baked them and my girls loved them so much though they never browned as yours. I also added half cup maize flour. They were crunchy and stood out.

Next time i will try it out with maize flour, i love them crunchy. I am glad your kids enjoyed. As for browning... Did you follow the measurements?

if using jiko follow the same mawe tatu procedure as cakes. For oven 150/160• will do

Yes you can but they won't be digestive biscuits. Digestive biscuits call for wholemeal/wholewheat flour
