Hi Vicky, i bought the golden syrup yesterday in our local supermarket! It was the first time they selled it. But i’ve one question. I don’t have to use GF, so i use regular self raising flour. Do i still have to use the xanthan? Or do i replace it with baking soda? Thanks in advance. This cake sounds so very delicious that i have to make it! Lots of love Vicky. Marja👍🏻🥰😘👋🏻

Ignore the xanthan and use your normal self raising flour. Add an egg instead of the baking powder if you can use them
