I make something a similar to this...I've always called it Brown Soup
1-2 lbs pork the leaner the better cut into 1" chunks
3-4 whole bay leaves
2tbsp whole black pepper corn crushed
3/4 to 1 bottle la
choy soy sauce to taste
Add first the and brown on med heat add enough water to cover meat boil covered for an hour removing any froth with wooden spoon as needed. add soy sauce cook again for 30 mins or until meat is very tender the longer it cooks the more tender it will be. Serve over rice.
Can substitute meat for chicken and onions ( my aunt says it's amazing for the common cold)
