Thanks Sarah, it was actually! It's billed as the 'perfect' apple pie, but I think that's a massive claim to make on Cookpad where there are so many other variations, so I left that out of the name:)

Having eaten this with warm custard I can attest to the amazing taste this pie had. I am yet to try the recipe so I don't yet know if it was the recipe or the chief that made it so taste but I am sure to try my version soon, if I can stick to the recipe.
