I’ve made this several times. The butter and sugar mixture came out syrupy only once. All the other times it has come out grainy. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Adjust the cook time, it's depends on if you have an electric or gas stove. I think it works better on a gas stove. Temperatures vary on the stove.
