Hi Hiroko- I LOVE all things mochi and given corona situation I now can’t go to my grocery store and restaurants to get it. I’m going to try to make this tomorrow. Is it ok to make on stove top by sitting or is there some trick about why microwave? Thanks for the tip!

The mixture gets VERY sticky as Mochi is, and it would be difficult to keep stirring and it tends to burn on stove top. Steaming would be good.
