There are a bunch of persimmons ripening on a tree next door. I've never tried this, but heard of it recently, and looking forward to giving it a shot.

if you're getting your permission from a tree, make sure you get the ripe mushy ones. I've been told to get them from the ground, but if you can reach them I try to find ripe ones to pick.

Around the mid-west you can find the pulp for sale in a few places, but it is a little pricey.

hmm, there are also 2 different kinds. Do you use the little pumpkin ones or the ones that are shaped like an upside down pear? I'm guessing the latter, because they tend to be squishier. I think they're called hichiya.

I've only ever seen the small pumpkin shaped ones, but I'm sure either will work.

Cool, those are the ones that are growing next door, thanks.
