Irmgards Appeeling Soup
Seen this on a programme last week, this is my verdion. you can use any peel you like but must be more potato than other veg. You can use any spice at end for flavour. It's sorta like mushroom soup, a tad potato flavour but nice. I like this as I live mushrooms but allergic. No need for thickeners in this

Chinese greens with sole soup
Ate it at a Chinese restaurant. It's actually pickled cabbage soup. But I had no cabbage. At the restaurant it was a really hot soup with a huge flakey sole. Not a good picture. Sole is white and hiding under the greens.

Easy veggie soup
Girlfriend wasn't feeling great so she requested soup. This is what I made her because this is what we had in the house. The soup is vegetarian but not vegan because I thickened it with a butter roux but you can use vegan butter, a corn starch slurry, arrowroot, etc., if you prefer.

Chicken & vegetable soup.
This is the soup made from my 5 way chicken stock recipe and I have been making this for years for many many people and everyone loves it. This makes 18 servings and added to the puffins and pies makes 36 servings from 1 chicken and a few veg all of which cost around £10.00. Even though there is no chicken in this soup all the goodness and flavour from the chicken is. You can add chicken to bowls if required.

Restaurant Secret: Onion Gratin Soup
Featured in two recipe books, category listing, and popular entry—thank you! You can make this easily without sautéing the onions. The origin of this recipe: About 20 years ago, a friend who was a chef at a French restaurant in Sapporo told me that they fry the onions for their onion gratin soup instead of sautéing them in butter. Since then, we've been frying the onions for our onion gratin soup at home. The recipe photo shows the final step of baking in a toaster oven.

Caramelized Tomato Soup
This is a "slightly" more ellaborate recipe than your run-on-the-mill canned tomato soup, and it takes a bit longer to make than just open the can and heat. But the smells in the kitchen and the smiles at the table make it well worth it!It uses tomatoes in three different forms (fresh, canned, and tomato paste) which gives it a texture no canned tomato soup can hope to imitate! For this recipe, I use panela cheese, a Mexican white cheese. Should you not find it, you can substitute with paneer, farmer's cheese, or any white firm cheese. In a pinch, cubed mozzarella will do the trick!

Authentic Chicken Tortilla Soup
You can easily make the taste of a Mexican home with ingredients you usually have on hand! The origin of this recipe: I tried this delicious soup recommended by locals during a trip to Mexico, and I adapted it for home use.

Kabocha Squash Soup - Easy Version
I love kabocha squash soup, so I wanted to make it easily. You can adjust the consistency with milk, so the lighter thinner version is a breakfast standby in our house. You can freeze the puree at Step 5, which is very handy to have on hand.If you soak the kabocha squash in water, cover with plastic wrap and microwave until tender, it will go through the sieve without much effort. Please adjust the consistency with the amount of milk you add. For 3 servings. Recipe by cafe-cafe

Farm-Style Polish Chicken Soup
My first day at kindergarten; I do not remember getting on the big, yellow, school bus to go home. I only remember being put on a bus. Someone put a tag on my chest that let everyone know which bus I was to take home. They put me on the wrong bus. I was only five—what did I know? I only remembered my address: “10964 McKean Road.” Everyone had been delivered safely home. I was the only one left on the bus. The bus driver asked me where did I live? I answered “10964 McKean Road.” “Show me your address!” She checked my tag and said. “You are on the wrong bus!” Makes no difference, I knew my address “10964 McKean Road.” The bus driver headed for McKean Road, I recognized my house and got off. My mother was frantic. I was over an hour late getting home. “What happened? Why are you so late?” I had no idea. I sprawled out on the dining room floor and “read” the comic section of the newspaper. My mother brought me a bowl of chicken soup. I ate it on the floor. I was oblivious to my mother’s questions. I just enjoyed my soup.Chicken soup was a staple at our home when I was growing up. At weddings a fancy version was served which was very clear and contained very fine Polish kluski, or noodles. I have since learned that the Poles do not call what we know as noodles, kluski, but reserve the word for dumplings. But in our house, all noodles were kluski. My version is the one my mother made, with lots of vegetables that grew on the farm.
