Mirin can be replace with Sugar and Sake (Rice Wine), but you might need to buy Sake... Get a bottle of Mirin, as it can be used for so many dishes. One of my essentials!

Mirin can be replaced with Sake (Rice Wine) and Sugar. 1 tablespoon Mirin can be replaced with 1 tablespoon Sake & 1 teaspoon Sugar.
