Chicken Patty for Burger | Without Breadcrumbs

At home, we've never been big fans of chicken burgers because most chicken patties are coated in breadcrumbs. I was curious to try making one similar to a beef patty, so I modified a beef patty recipe, inspired by Ms. Fidela Sadewo (thank you so much, Ms.😍), to suit our taste at home. I skipped the garlic because we don't really like it, so I just used onion. The result was unexpectedly delicious, and it was a big hit at home.

  2. 3/4onion
  3. 4 1/2 tablespoonsall-purpose flour
  4. Salt, seasoning, pepper, sugar, to taste

    Grind the chicken fillet. I used a small blender, grinder, or chopper. Use the pulse mode until you reach the desired texture. Prepare a tray lined with parchment paper.

    Finely chop the onion, then place it in a bowl, followed by the ground chicken, flour, salt, seasoning, pepper, and a little sugar. Mix well (using hands with plastic gloves is better for even mixing than using a spoon or spatula) to enhance the flavor.

    Check the taste by grilling a small piece; if it tastes good when cooked, proceed to shape the patties. If not, adjust the seasoning and check again.

    Weigh the mixture as desired; I used 30 grams each, then flatten to a thickness of 0.2-0.4 inches. I made 17 patties, with some leftover for one mini patty 😁.

    Place the flattened patties on the tray. You can then put them in a ziplock bag and store them in the freezer. Just grab one whenever you need it 😍😍😍.

  6. 6

    For delicious grilling, heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. When it starts to smoke slightly, add just enough oil (about 1 teaspoon), then lower the heat a bit and add the patties. Grill over medium to slightly high heat so the outside is cooked but the inside remains tender. The aroma is incredibly delicious.
