@ChrissyAlpha, thanks! Yea, We have strong culinary influences of Polish, German, and Hungarian communities here in Toledo. Also, I know around here, down the road from me, is the biggest sauerkraut producer East of the Misssippi (old fashioned ferment). If you ate sauerkraut on your hot dog at a MLB field, then chances are, it was grown and made within 20 miles of me.

Oh wow!! That’s really cool! 🤩. Thanks for sharing that. I miss the strong Polish-American community that I grew up with back east. Recipes like yours remind me of that.

@ChrissyAlpha Yea, we are so Hardcore Sauerkraut. We can get "Frank's Kraut Juice" in a big tin, like tomato juice. It is made up the road from me, all that natural ferment, probiotic, cabbage juice. The only other ingredient besides cabbage is salt. It has also inspired a great vodka or whiskey with Kraut Juice shot, not unlike the pickle juice back.
