This is the first time I've heard about halászlé - I've never had a fish soup like this with so many spices! Looks wonderful. One question: is the paprika smoked or just the 'regular' kind?

Hey, thanks for taking an interest. Normally we use unsmoked, but I don't object to smoked as it might just create a whole new interesting flavour. After all, cooking should be about experimentation.

By the way, many of the spices are not traditionally added, but rather my own little tweaks. The only thing that is compulsory is the paprika :)

I see! Well, the spices you added sound delicious. I might try out the smoked paprika when I get a chance to make it :)
