I am making this today the only thing I'm having problems with is how to make the brown gravy come alive or is that when it's almost done?

i put mine in the slow cooker. I add an envelope of onion soup mix. i also brown the outside of my roast with flour in a skillet. This will make your roast have that gravy. ;-)

very easy and yummy!! I added this awesome very mild indian spice blend for a touch of something different, makes the whole housr smell soo good hours after you've eaten!! :hungry

I only used a half of an onion and added potatoes, carrots and celery. This is a new family favorite:-)

ok for everyone that its ur first time or say its not flavored enough here's ur solution... As others stated add more flavor but what I haven't seen anyone mention there is a thing called a meet syringe and as u first put all the mixes together use that meat syringe to suck up some of the fluids and inject that beast and as u cook it through out the day do the same a couple more times. Doing this will give u the most flavored and tender roast. I found a McCormick's packs of savory pot roast stew and u wana talk about WOW add one pack for every pound and ull never go to anything else. Good luck all
