My hubby loved these! I was surprised how flavorful the filling was! If you season your chicken well when you cook it you don't need to add more salt to the mixture. I also used green onions instead of regular ones and cooked them with the chicken! Very good and quick!!

Modifications to make healthier: sub fresh garlic for garlic salt. Possibly cut salt. Add veggies (raw or lightly steamed broccoli). Use fat free cream cheese & reduced fat rolls. Cut sauce to 2/3 and sub olive oil for butter.

update** I saw on another review that they put in bacon and I knew I had to try it asap!! so I fried up a lil bacon, then crumbled it. I sauted a couple chicken breasts in the bacon and fat with other yummy seasoning ...added that along with some cheddar cheese to the cream cheese mix and OH MY WORD IT'S AMAZING! We threw in a little regular cream cheese to thicken it up (and just because ;) We also managed to get a wee bit too much salt BUT, this is a VERY forgiving recipe. It was Delish! She ate it- all of it! (Of her serving, of course ;)
Ok, besides our "whoopsy daisies" the recipe is very good. The sweetness of the crescent rolls balanced wonderfully with our "wee bit" too much salt. We did also add thyme. We both wanted another "layer" of flavor. I also hemhawed over adding some veggies (which came with a resounding "No!" from my little chef). So, we baked asparagus in olive oil, on the same flat stone we cooked the chic. pastry on, same temp., and time so, it all worked out well.

I just finished having this and it was sooo good. Relatively cheap is always a plus. But my two year old ate every bit and my husband said to put it in the "make again" category. Next time I will put the parm cheese on the inside and maybe add veggies. I think I might make chicken wraps sometime with the bowl ingredients since that seemed to have a slightly different flavor than after baking it. Two possible great meal options from one recipe! Thrilled!
