Rally Jalape?o Poppers
054mkibbe @cook_2696089
We have been making these for years! All of our friends and family are hooked! Although I do enjoy jalapenos some of our family doesn't like the heat so we will occasionally substitute Anaheim peppers and they are so much better!! Make them on the grill though. Not near as tasty in the oven :)

Made this for Thanksgiving. Had some friends and family that does not eat any thing hot, so used mini sweet peppers and it was a hit with everyone. Will be making this one again.

BigDaddyKirb @cook_2736178
I do the same with yellow peppers. but I chop the bacon and add to the cream cheese and stff the chiles. a bit easier to place, but if you are want more of a bacon flavor wrapping is great. add a lil worchestershire sauce before baking, comes out great.
CherryBomb8 @cook_2772609
Made last night but added bell peppers and chicken breast finely shredded. Huge hit for the guys!
BrittaLee @cook_2743519
I don't like the excess fat from the bacon so I use the real bacon bits thats already packaged. I also add a ranch packet n shredded cheese on top.

Made it last night and was delicious. Next time I'll try it with bell peppers instead of jalapeños, because my little ones thought it was a bit spicy. :hungry

Murfer @cook_2921078
I have made them with little smokies and the cheese, called them Buffalo Turds.

Tysmommy @cook_3006598

bobcel @cook_3132575
These are great. One addition is to add a little Smokey Joe Sausage to the cream cheese mix stuffed in the pepper, wrap with the bacon and cook as the recipe calls for. Excellent. Great appetizer.... we call them buffalo turds.

bobby.latimer.5 @cook_3132321
Excellent, I just add fajita or taco seasoning to the cheese mixture for added flavor!
ccrutcher209 @cook_3171270
If you don't want a big greasy mess when you cook them.
1. fry up the bacon
2. then crumble it up and mix it with the cream cheese.
3. then stick it in the oven on broil until the cream cheese is a golden brow

Has anyone had a problem with cooking the bacon in the 12 to 14 minutes cook time suggested in this recipe?? The bacon was raw after the time suggested in the recipe!! the finished product was good, however, I thru away the bacon. any suggestions? ?
cookiemaven @cook_3211460

kyle.s.murray @cook_3523215

marissa.tillis @cook_3596145

mattmfnrogers @cook_3605484
These are NOT 49ers Poppers..... Because the 49ers SUCK, and these are good.
Melisa Richardson Inkrott @cook_3617341
A big hit with the family. Except the cheese melted a lot.
nikk81 @cook_3692145
These are really good, I use cheddar cheese and shrimp for the inside. Next time I will do it with the cream cheese mixture with the shrimp instead of only cheese. :hungry
racingjunkie @cook_3750206
Pretty tasty recipes. 1 slight modification I will use next time I do this. Pre cook the bacon then add into cheese mixture. Then batter and fry jalapeno poppers.
rayray39 @cook_3758053
Big hit.... just added a lil. Mayo... a bit creamier.... and some steak seasoning to cheese....
santossrh @cook_3804934
On the bbq it's easy. Use a whole jalapeño, cut the top off and cut a slice down the side, and slightly open it take out the seeds. Then stuff and wrap the bacon around the whole thing from top to bottom, put a toothpick through and it's ready for the grill.
sarah08 @cook_3806969
I made these today for a snack and they were so yummy. not even spicy :ohyeaah

stephanie.rubio @cook_3868221
I like to drizzle honey on them before cooking ....sweet n savory...yum :hungry
timk42 @cook_3913586
I used sweet peppers.....good too! We've tried to grill them but they fall apart to much. In the oven on a drip tray seems to work best.

troutspanker @cook_3930615
Very good finger food! i get request all the time to make these. try sauting some chopped onions, garlic, and mushrooms. mix it in the cream cheese and set back in the fridge. after it hardens, stuff the peppers!
