i make this receipe all the time. its a HUGE hit at parties. i have people that come over and the first thing they ask is "did you make the dip?" i use sharp cheddar, and make sure the chicken is really well shredded. my hunny loves it cold as a sandwhich too.beware, very very addictive!! (X_X)

There is an easier, healthier recipe which minimizes oil separation from the cheese.1 (8oz) package 1/3 less fat cream cheese
3 large cans chunk chicken
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
1 to 1 1/2 bottles Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce (or Xtra hot or other wing sauce)
(optional) handful of grated cheddarAdd wings sauce and ranch dressing mix to small crock pot then mix well. Rinse and shred chicken in a colander or strainer under warm running water until all gelatin is gone and chicken is completely shredded. Press or squeeze excess water out and add to crock pot. Add cream cheese and cheddar (optional). Heat in crock pot for at least 40 minutes stirring occassionally. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritos.

great!!! I substituted blue cheese for ranch...cooked it in my crock pot...used boneless chicken breast I cooked yesterday in my crock pot, shredded it and I didn't mix the ingredients totally....it turned out wonderfully!!! thank you!

Jadyn_Li @cook_2839140
Its even better if you use bleu cheese dressing instead of ranch :-)...

My Cousin made this dip for a New Year's Eve party it was good. He made the recipe as followed, but instead of using the hot sauce, he used caned- chopped jalapeños which also made the dip good.

Fantastic dip, my daughter loves it, used Franks buffalo wing sauce and the franks buffalo wing ranch dressing, turned out great.

Sugarplumhoneybunch @cook_2986045
The only thing I subbed was leftover roasted chicken..no canned.

amandant @cook_3055397
I made half the recipe. seemed bland while prepping so I added a few more spices/ingredients & cooked my own chicken breast.

amommy42 @cook_3060137
wow! this is insanity! very hard to stop eating. took it to a bbq today and it was gone in 10 min. the only change I made is I used blue cheese dressing and some shredded chicken that I poached. really really good.

Good and easy to make. Recipe makes a lot, so you can cut ingredients in half to make a smaller portion.

ashley.steelecayson @cook_3089277
I made it for a party and cooked it in a crock pot, it was awesome and every bite was gone. Great recipe.

This is a delicious recipe! I've made it for several parties and occasions. Everyone loves it! I substitute rotisserie chicken instead of canned, comes out delicious!

Thomas @cook_3152586
I made this for a new years party, and it was the hit of the night. We also found out that it is wonderful to dip your celery in!

Christina @cook_3195022
Made for super bowl party. Everyone loved it.Will definitely make again .

dewbugz @cook_3255514
I make this all the time. I prefer to use the rotisserie chicken from the grocery store over the canned stuff. I also just mix it all in the crockpot and heat it on low untill it is heated through, then I keep it on low and it will last the whole party that way.

jenamador @cook_3417742

jollylady @cook_3448389
I made this for potluck on Sunday. Everyone liked it! Because it was for lots of people, I backed off on the hot sauce a little. Also, we served it cold.

jltay @cook_3438239
love this recipe ... I use blue cheese instead of ranch and then bake till bubbly

kirsty0326 @cook_3505286

melissa.lanini @cook_3617741
forgot to take a pic before it got devoured. Great game day food. I will make this again. Everyone was a fan.

rakarl @cook_3752979
I heat the chicken with the Frank's first so it soaks in, then I add the cream cheese and don't put in ranch until it's completly melted. Shredded cheese goes on last after the heat is off so you don't separate it. It's not greasy at all, just nice and stringy. I also don't bake. Transfering to a crockpot set on Low makes for an easy all day snack.I love this recipe but the directions are a little strange for what I'm used to. Looking at the pics here, I'm certain it matters.

my wife and I eat this about once a month. Our recipe is a little different though 1/2 cup ranch, 1/2 cup franks red hot, 1pkg of cream cheese, 3-4 chicken breast boiled and then chopped, and a cup of mozzarella cheese. we have tried different cheeses and mozzarella seems to have the least oil/grease in it.

samnoel86 @cook_3801192
I have made this 3xs and it is awesome. I highly recommend it. I did not have to change a thing. (L)

sugarhiii @cook_3875469
Its going to be a staple at family parties now. I also did it in a crock pot instead of an oven and it turned out great.

steph94 @cook_3867677
This was delicious ! :) I had the idea from a friend to put buffalo chicken dip over noodles which is what I did with this and it was amazing.

Todd Capouellez @cook_3919884
Only use Franks hot sauce if you want a vinegar taste to the dip, personally I recommend sriracha but go easy with it.

Sinclair Harjo @cook_3935443
Made it my friend and my family loved it so good going to make it again soon.

usarmypage @cook_3939440
I made this last night! I was delicious. The only issue I had was the grease from the cheese. Did anyone else experience this?

vlc4265 @cook_3952902
I make this a lot. It's always a hit. However I used cheese one time and it was greasy I really think it's the cheese. Still delicious tho. :-)

christian.levin1 @cook_3194300
we made it the way it saud but we add bleu cheese to it as well as the other cheese it was the best

Karen Davis-Cochran @cook_4013484
