I make these quute a bit, will be making more for Easter.

I think your mom added baking soda to make them fluffy, that is what we do at the farm.

Thanks for the american cheese thing, don't know why I didn't think of that. I like sausage balls but do not like cheddar cheese as it triggers migraines for me. I think Cream cheese and American cheese will be safer for them. Also, I want to add some hashbrowns.

That’s a great idea! Yum! I go to my deli and ask for end pieces of their American cheese blocks. I shred it myself. I don’t get it sliced. I use it in pimento cheese too. Glad it worked for you🥰
