Usually I press a bit to loosen the peeling then peel. If in a hurry cut the hard end off and the smash it hard and the peeling is off.

I like to do the first too when the garlic peel gets a little more cured. It's oddly satisfying to pull the peel away whole and have an intact clove of garlic! :D

Yes especially if you are using a whole clove to insert into a roast, baking in breads, or roasting, sauteing them whole.

I cut the ends off, then I pound the garlic lightly on the counter on every side for 12 seconds. Then I stick a knife under the skin of the garlic and peel! Super easy!

I use your method Shinae... but boy, peeling garlic is a real bummer when there’s all those tiny cloves. The other night my husband left some dressing in the bottom of the jar and I was like, “wait stop, use that! That’s like 30 minutes worth of garlic peeling you left in the bottom of that jar!”

I have never had a problem peeling garlic, just rub it in my hands first and peel away. My favorite garlic recipe on Cookpad isn't even mine,Garlic Feta Cheese Spread & Dip https://cookpad.wasmer.app/us/recipes/351921-garlic-feta-cheese-spread-dipThis garlic cheese spread is amazing, I am going to make it again this week, will post a cooksnap.

I do the smash method the most, but also love to roast it and squeeze out the glorious garlic! I love garlic 💗

I also love to roast garlic whole with a little olive oil salt and pepper with rosemary and thyme and mix it with some butter and use it on bread. I do love garlic lol

Just something flat to smash it, something like my knife....when cooking, I never feel like using extra “anything” to do “anything”.....Dishes slow down the whole process.

I love to throw the entire garlic pod into the oven and roast it at 450° for about 10-12 mins. Let it cool and the peels just fall right off. I use what I need and place the rest in an airtight container and put it in the fridge. They last a good while although, I use garlic in just about every recipe I make, so....
