Since I joined ages ago so much has changed. my husband has died and so has Mr Benson my Newfoundland.

Now there is just Honey, Golden Retriever, and me. Not done much cooking but just had a brand new kitchen and starting healthy eating again. so cooking is back on the agenda.

Made this delicious recipe yet again, as we live it. I do cook in a cast iron casserole for about 2 hours, doublevthe stock ,no wine. Absolutely lovely with fresh garden veg.

I love the old recipes, reminds me of mum and my childhood. Used this recipe as the basis but didn't weigh anything just judged. Also added the juice of the lemon. It is yummy, warm with custard for after todays lunch.

Very nice, added freshly ground black pepper. Next time going try a blue cheese instead of the cream cheese.

I did coat in flour to get crisp finish. Cooked a tiny one as taster to check we like the flavour. Possibly tomorrows dinner or freeze them.
