Southern Girl from Georgia (US) married to a good Lebanese Boy who grew up in NYC. Lucky for me, he's a Teyta's boy! Our Teyta lives nearby and is one of the best cooks we know!
Teyta was born in Jordan, grew up in Jerusalem, and became mother to her 8 brothers and sisters when her Mother died. From the age of 18 until 26, Teyta managed her family's household, and raiseed the younger ones. She finally moved to the US, had a whirlwind romance, married her Prince Charming and raised 2 children. All the while, cooking up the traditional dishes that she learned from her mom.
Today, Teyta has given all (most) of her cooking secrets and recipes to her children and grandchildren. We in turn, try to instill in our children all the things that Teyta had taught us about Loving, Living and Laughing while enjoying good food around the table!
