Battan papdi is a very popular sindhi recipe. People also call it as battar papdi. It's a street food loved by one and all. It's a mouth-watering sindhi chaat with sour and sweet mint Coriander chutney.

Batans are easily available at any bakery shop, butans are like rusk toast but without sweet taste and round in shape butans are like aloo in taste (have no own taste) they come whole round in shape we have to cut it into half.

For green chutney--Add green chillies 5-8, coriander leaves,1/4 cup chana dal which we get from the market in our language it called bhugra (roasted gram dal), Salt to taste in a grinder grind it with little water for chutney. This chutney is called "thikhi chutney" in Sindhi language.

Khatti, (sour) chutney -Boli tamarind for few minutes till it gets soft, once it cools grind in Mixer by adding ginger 1/2 inch,1/2 cup mint leaves sieve through strainer then add black salt, jeera powder 1/2 tbsp,red chill powder 1/2 tbsp mix well add one glass of water as this one is liquid chutney like pani puri ka chutney.

Sweet chutney-- Boil gud (Jaggery) 200gm and tamarind, 3 tbsp till jaggery melts,when it cools down grind in Mixer with 1/2 tbsp black salt and sieve then add cornflour 1 tbsp by mixing cornflour first in 2tbsp water and again bring to a boil to thicken the chutney, then keep aside for cooling or in freeze.

Boli aloo cut into small pieces, chop onions.

Papdi again will get ready from market (besan papdi).

Dip batans in sour chutney Just a second then put into a serving plate add boli aloo and onion on it then put green and sweet chutney, then khatti chutney then papdi on it. Batan papdi is ready.
