Ingredients

4 servings
  1. as neededSliced Vegetables
  2. 1large Onion
  3. 1raw Banana
  4. 1potato
  5. 2 cupgram flour
  6. 1/2 cupRice flour
  7. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  9. 1/2 tspAsafetida
  10. to tasteSalt
  11. as neededVeg Oil to deep fry
  12. 1/2 tspajwain

Steps

    Add all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Keep adding water to prepare a thick lump free batter. Keep aside. Slice the vegetables, (Potato, Onion, Raw Banana & Long Bhajji Mirchi) & keep Ready.

    Optional to add 1/2 TS Baking Soda, to the batter to give a fluffy Bhajji. Heat oil in Kadai and keep the flame medium low. Dip the sliced veggies in the batter and deep fry them in small batches and transfer to tissue / paper towel to drain excess oil.

    Serve them hot with Chutney / Sauce.

    If preparing long Mirchi Bhajji, you can cut them to smaller pieces and dip in batter and fry them in oil, as shown. To make them less spicy the seeds may be removed before dipping in batter. If any left over batter is there, drop some chopped onion into the batter mix well and prepare Crispy Pakodas too.
