Ingredients

  • 1-3lauki
  • 2-1 cupchana daal
  • 3-1 cupchicken broth
  • 4-4-6 green chillies
  • 5-1 tspsalt
  • 6-1 tspred chilli powder
  • 7-1 tsphaldi
  • 8-1 tspGinger Garlic paste
  • Tarka
  • 1-6Garlic cloves
  • 2-1/2 cupkhalis ghee
  • 3-1 tspblack pepper
  • 4-1 tspzeera

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak chana daal for 1/2 an hour,

  2. 2

    Wash, peel and cut lauki into cubes.

  3. 3

    Cook daal with salt, haldi, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste. Don’t over cook.

  4. 4

    Take little oil in a pan and fry lauki add little black pepper in it.

  5. 5

    Mix daal and lauki and add chicken broth and green chilli chopped.

  6. 6

    Give tarka of khalis ghee with fresh garlic slices, zeera and black pepper.

  7. 7

    Serve with paratha and onion salad.

I am a homechef. Cooking is my passion. Love to creat new recipes. Mother of three . MashaAllahI belong to a punjabi family and married in the same community. Food taste is similar and almost same traditional dishes. My Ancestors belong to Amratsar and Inlaws are from Sargodha. I am born & brought up in Karachi. I have learnt alot from my Mom . She’s also a super chef of our family & my inspiration too. After shadi have learnt few dishes from my saas too .Good food makes my family really happy & in return they appreciated me alot. It’s really good to see my husband and kids happy because they love the food that I cook . I genuinely enjoy the whole process of cooking & love to hosting and design menus too. For me cooking is highly creative hobby to take up . You can not only create your own dishes but blend your favourite cuisine , it’s totally your choice because it’s your kitchen and your family. I am blessed to be surrounded by beautiful family who always appreciated me and love my cooking skills ❤️❤️❤️
