Bottle ground kofta in curry

Ingredients

  1. For Kofta:
  2. 1/2lauki / bottle gourd
  3. 1/4 cupbesan
  4. 1boiled potato
  5. to tastesalt
  6. 1/2 tsphaldi
  7. 1/2 tsplal mirch / red chilli powder
  8. 2 tbspcorn flour, to coat
  9. 1/4 tspgaram masala powder
  10. As neededoil for deep frying
  11. For Gravy:-
  12. 1 tbspoil
  13. 1/2 tspginger & garli finely chopped
  14. 1onion
  15. 1capsicum
  16. ¼ cup cabbage chopped
  17. 1-2 tspchilli sauce,
  18. 2-3 tspsoy sauce,
  19. 1 cupwater
  20. 1/4 tspblack pepper, crushed
  21. to tastesalt
  22. TO PREPARE CORN STARCH:
  23. 2 tspcorn flour
  24. 1/4 cupwater

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Firstly, peel, grate or blend lauki. add salt squeeze well.

  2. 2

    Add potato & mix well. Make small balls & fry till golden brown.

  3. 3

    GRAVY:
    in a large pan, heat a tbsp of oil. add finely chopped ginger and garlic.

    Saute for a while.
    then add onions and continue to saute for a minute.

    Also add capsicum and cabbage fry till the blisters appear over them.

    Now add red chilli sauce and soy sauce

  7. 7

    Add water first, get to a boil and then add corn starch.

  8. 8

    Add more chilli sauce if required and give a mix.

    Check for taste, and if you prefer more savory taste then add more soy sauce. give a good mix.
    get to a boil and check for consistency.

  10. 10

    Now add pepper and salt to taste. remember, soy sauce do contain salt so be careful while adding. give a mix.

  11. 11

    Add gravy in a serving bowl then place fried kofta into a gravy.and garnish with coriander and lemon
